First Aid Kit - What to pack

Welcome back to the PE girls.

We are finalising the visa applications and Mrs Jones is very keen to get these down to Brooker Travel this week. She will have been in touch if you still need to get something to her.

On Wednesday I am planning to look at what you would need in your own personal first aid kit. I will post a list on Thursday for those who are unable to attend.

As well we will look at general packing and what you should bring.

See you there - Room 112 at 6pm

Seminar Update

Many thanks for those of you who have completed your visa applications.

I have confirmed with Brooker Travel that only one passport sized photo is needed for this.

If you are still finishing these applications it would be good if I could get these as soon as possible.

With a number of girls away tis week at PE camp we will not have a seminar on Wednesday. We will meet again on Wednesday 9th March at 6pm in room 112. At this seminar I will go over personal medical kits and some more basic info on Vietnam culture.

Seminars for Vietnam

Welcome

2016 is here and it is not long before we will be departing for our Vietnam tour.

We will begin our seminar series on Wednesday 17 February at 6pm.  These seminars are optional and will cover a range of topics including culture, history, arts and literature.  Please note that the seminar on 16 March is compulsory for all students and we strongly advise all parents participating in the tour to attend also.  This particular seminar will cover all the final arrangements, rooming, rules and expectations and protocol.  Please contact Judy Maw jmaw@shcs.school.nz if you will be unable to attend this seminar.  Seminars will be held once per week, always at 6pm on a Wednesday night, with the final seminar being held on Wednesday 30 March.

On 24 February we will complete Vietnam visa applications.  These will be due on 26 February, the easiest arrangement will be to complete them on the night of 24 February then hand in to staff.  For the Vietnam visa you will need to provide a 4x6cm passport photo and your passport.  This is sent to the Viet Nam Embassy in Wellington for processing.

Please note - this means that trip participants will not have their passports from 24 February until mid March.  Please let us know immediately if you have international travel planned, or if your require your passport for other reasons during this time period.

We are really looking forward to this exciting trip - we look forward to seeing you all soon.
